I want to express my most sincere gratitude and appreciation for your contribution to the Bankridge Development Center fourth annual prom. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide a prom for our students and their entire families at no cost. The donations we received not only covered not only the costs for decorations, appetizers, dinner, dessert, and beverages for 300 people, but each of the 49 students received a boutonniere or a corsage. Over and above the necessities, we also were provided favors for each of the students and numerous door prizes of great value. In addition, we dresses donated so the girls attending could pick out their very own dress. We even had tuxedo rentals for the boys covered by the cash donations we received. Several individuals donated their time and expertise to: do the hair and makeup for the girls who attended the event, serve the food, bus the tables, as well as decorate and clean up the facility at the completion of the evening.
It was very challenging this year to obtain all the donations that were required for such a large, extravagant event. The economy had made fundraising that much more complicated. Thanks to your help and support, we were still able to throw the biggest, most successful prom in BDC history.
Providing a formal event for our students and their families, free of judgment, and stress is the ultimate goal. Being able to offer the event to the student’s entire family at no cost truly makes the evening magical for all involved. The students and parents had a wonderful time at this year’s prom and are truly looking forward to next year’s prom. I hope we can count on your continued support.
Thank you again for your generous donation. Without it, the prom would not have been such a tremendous success.
Sincerely,
Jessica Caffrey, M.SpEd., BCBA
